{"id":54,"date":"2019-12-08T23:02:27","date_gmt":"2019-12-08T23:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agingawkwardly.com\/?p=54"},"modified":"2020-08-07T03:19:08","modified_gmt":"2020-08-07T03:19:08","slug":"letting-god-change-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agingawkwardly.com\/index.php\/2019\/12\/08\/letting-god-change-me\/","title":{"rendered":"Letting God Change Me"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>\u201cBefore I formed\nyou in the womb I knew you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Before you were\nborn I set you apart,<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>I appointed you as\na prophet to the nations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Jeremiah 1:5<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m still not quite sure why I do it, but, I always try to\n\u201cdevelop\u201d myself into something else.&nbsp;\nUnder the guise of \u201cplan, do, study, act\u201d I look at my failures, try to\n\u201cdevelop\u201d those failures out so that I become a better version of myself.&nbsp; For all intents and purposes, that\u2019s not a\nbad thing.&nbsp; But, somehow, something in me\ntakes it to a different level that involves battling thoughts of illegitimacy,\nbeing a fraud, stupid, uneducated, worthless, rejected.&nbsp; My most recent failure set the cycle off all\nover again.&nbsp; This time though, I want to\nlet God speak.&nbsp; Maybe it\u2019s not a\nfailure.&nbsp; Maybe it\u2019s his will that puts\nme on a different path.&nbsp; Just maybe this\nis part of his process in changing me into what he purposed for me from before\nI was even born.&nbsp; Just maybe I can relax\nand trust his process. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My prayer for today is that God\u2019s voice and his love for me\nwould speak louder to me than the accuser of the brethren (Rev 12:10).&nbsp; Help me to trust his process to develop me\ninto what he wants not what I think I need to be.&nbsp; Only God can equip me for the purpose that he\ncreated me to fulfill.&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cBefore I formed you in the womb I knew you.
